Sonnets

Olive took some pictures of me, I wrote some sonnets.

The sonnet (my secret obsession).

When I was (maybe) 19? I became obsessed with the sonnet form. I read Wanda Coleman, John Keats, Edna St Vincent Millay, John Berryman, E E Cummings, Petrarch, Shakespeare, more, over, and over— I read every sonnet I could find.

At one point it was my biggest obsession in life.

Every now and then when I’m bored I’ll write a sonnet in my notes app.
